ABOUT CICFF
Calcutta International Cult Film Festival (CICFF) is an ISO 9001: 2015 Certified Film Festival and an IMDb Award Listing Qualifier. CICFF is a monthly film festival with a yearly live screening mega award event in the City of Joy, Kolkata.
Our film festival is dedicated to films and genres outside the mainstream. We sincerely focus on cult films, which significantly include horror, sci-fi, bizarre, weird and fantasy. We also explore other genres and sub-genres that don’t get the opportunity to play on the big screen. We welcome film submissions under the banner New Media (VR / AR, Music Video, Online TV etc) if the subject fits the themes of the film festival. Our main motive also lies that we introduce people to art- house cinema. We would like to see films made primarily for aesthetic and philosophical reasons. We believe that a story driven by a genuine expression can stimulate new thoughts that have the power to promote the fundamental principles of humanism; expand creative frontiers; stimulate new levels of compassion, and even lead to social change.
With over 50 films selected each month and at least one winner in every category, CICFF is a film platform that celebrates diversity and showcases the best films in Calcutta, sharing them on IMDb pages when applicable. Besides the category award winners, there are also Outstanding Achievement Awards and Critics Choice Awards, which are given in different categories.
The annual Golden Fox Awards event offers nominees a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and cultural perspectives, while winners can engage in Film Industry Q & A Sessions after the film screening. Film Reviews and Interviews of all the Golden Fox Awards Winners are published on Cult Critic and our other publication partners.

The Final Winners are recognized with the prestigious Golden Fox Awards and are screened in front of a live audience in the theatre in Kolkata after the CICFF film community selects the Best of the Best.
